Ravindra Jadeja was Banned in 2010 IPL
We can understand that players play IPL for money and not much for emotions for most of the time. yes, there some players who are comfortable with a particular team and attached to it, what we are talking is about most of the time. Jadeja was playing for Rajasthan royals in the first two seasons and made a mistake of his life ahead of third season. It is said that, he desired for more money and had talks with Mumbai Indians to sign a contract without having a discussion with his Rajasthan management. Yes, money is important but not every time especially when you are getting paid enough. It is not professional to do that and one year ban came in his way as the right way of penalty. It costed him an entire IPL in 2010 and he was back to play in 2011 when he was picked by Kochi tuskers India. He was a growing Indian all rounder at that time, but it is the character which always beats the talent. We are happy that, since then he is out of all controversy and settled with a formidable CSK for past 7 seasons.
Sri Lankan Players Getting Banned
This is one of the major controversy which created lot of tension in the 2012 IPL. Once upon a time in IPL, Lankan players were pat of every team and was contributing to the teams just like Indian players. Then on 2012, a major political tension broke out between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka and it is the issue which dominated every news of Tamil Nadu politics. The chief minister of Tamil Nadu during that time ordered that Sri Lankan players should not take part in the IPL games to be played in Chennai. This created a big controversy but nevertheless BCCI have to agree to the terms of the state government and abide by the rules to maintain peace during the tournament. Since then, Lankan players never played games in Chennai for few years but nowadays as tension is empty in this issue, Malinga started playing in the Chennai games. It is important to maintain peace despite tensions and BCCI just let it go because it was just one game for every franchise which wont cause any damage. We have no comments on state government decisions as it is good to maintain peace always.
